Well, the London Design Festival is over. This year seemed like the best yet, with so many quality events going on.
Our Walter Knoll Home collection has received a lot of interest over the week. The Wednesday evening event was very enjoyable. For those who were unable to be there, please have a look at the video on YouTube: Walter Knoll 21 Sept
Moving East, our Valcucine stand at the Superbrands London exhibition allowed us to show off the new Logica kitchen, together with some classic Fritz Hansen furniture. The Logica kitchen is quite special in its function and pictures really don't tell the whole story. The good news is that visitors will be be able to see Logica in our London showroom soon. It was a great pleasure to host the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) Summer Party on Wednesday 29 June. About 150 designers and industry colleagues joined us for a very pleasant evening at the Forza London showroom, following the BIID AGM at the Royal Institute of British Architects.
Three lucky guests went home with valuable draw prizes kindly donated by our partners Alessi, Poltrona Frau and Fritz Hansen.
It was especially nice to see Gordon Lindsay and Chris Westhead of Gordon Lindsay Design. Earlier in the day, Gordon was presented with the BIID Merit Award for his outstanding contribution to the Institute and to the interior design profession.

New Zeitraum children’s chair
We were quite taken with this junior version from the Zeitraum Morph family of chairs. MORPH KID is a deliberate move away from the typical plastic or tubular steel child's chair. With a solid wood frame in oak or walnut and a matching plywood shell, MORPH KID lends a warmer, more domestic, aesthetic to childrens' areas.
Another excellent non-gimmicky childrens furniture range is the Serie 8800 from Magnus Olesen. We supplied some of these for the education area of an Oxford Museum.

New management workstation display in the London showroom.
When you're choosing desks for senior managers, something exeptional may be called for. For this sector we've put together a display of some fantastic executive workstations and meeting tables in the showroom.

Archibald wins at the Wallpaper Design Awards 2010.
The Archibald armchair, by Poltrona Frau has already been well received at the Milan furniture fair this year. Now it has achieved further acclaim in London. A highly select jury, comprising names such as Steven Holl, John Galliano, and Pedro Almodovar, chose the Archibald armchair, designed by Jean-Marie Massaud for Poltrona Frau, as the winner of the prestigious Wallpaper Design Awards 2010 in London as best armchair in the category “Best domestic design”.
If you'd like to see it for real, we have an example of the lovely Archibald in the London showroom. Our one is dressed in a tan leather of the impossibly soft Poltrona Frau kind.
